04/21/2003: Easter Course in Berlin |
| |
|
| |

Everything was ready for the Easter Course when suddenly Kunzig Shamarpa phoned us and, to our great delight, announced his visit. Our Easter Course specialists in Berlin were in their element. In no time at all, they arranged an additional programme, sleeping places, stage decoration, initiation pictures and much more.
More than 1500 people were attracted by the concentrated programme. Each day Shamarpa and Lama Ole gave initiations and teachings.
In the pauses they admired the beautiful exhibition of statues from a private collection. The most beautiful statues from many centuries were united here. The catalogue that was published along with it was a big seller, and it became obvious how professional we've become in the meantime. It is actually incredible that all of this is possible on a volunteer basis.
As always, the motivation of working for the best of all the friends was a joyful experience and development at the same time for everybody. Kunzig Shamarpa was so impressed that he, too,
offered us his collection for a future statue exhibition.

04/11/2003: Linz, in the city-square |
| |
|
| |

For Linz, one center isn't enough. Now we also have a new place in the middle of the city-square, in the heart of Linz. At a short stop, we initiated the new spot - in fresh Kagyu style - in ten minutes. As in Wien, we now have a joint outer and central place in the city. This new Austrian model promises new dimensions
of cooperation for all.

04/01/2003: A house for Braunschweig |
| |
|
| |

Braunschweig made it! One day before Lama Ole gave a lecture at Braunschweig University, the Diamond Way Foundation became the proud owner of the new Braunschweig center. And everything is just like Ole always wanted it to be. An old factory in the middle of the city shall support the discovery of the nature of mind.
Before one can sit on a cushion here for weeks, however, there is still a lot to do. The concrete floors are soaked with motor oil, walls must be torn down and replaced. Living space is needed, because the first brave people are already waiting to move in.
The night in the Baucafé 2 reminded us of the first years of Hamburg: joy and work inseparable... On the next morning we initiated the meditation room. Afterwards, there was a wedding. Friends came from all different centres. There couldn't have been a more beautiful beginning.
